Another leaked announcement from GoPro, assuming it’s all legit, and it definitely looks official, they will be releasing a cheap, no frills camera called the Hero which will record video in 1080p at 30fps or 720p at 60fps and shoot 5MP stills.

It has an integrated housing, so you can’t take it out of the housing at all, you just slot your Micro SD card in the back and charge it via a USB port on there too.
I love this idea, and as long as the price is right I’ll be adding one of these to my collection when it’s available, it does pretty much everything I want it to in a cheaper, simpler package.
This is the camera I will lend to family and freidns who want to borrow a waterproof, simple camera, I’ll strap it to my Neices, it’s just what I want from this kind of camera I just hope the price point is low enough, to me this is GoPro’s way of combatting the cheap imitations of their flagship range, and I reckon it’s a brilliant idea and one that will be og huge benefit to anyone learning surf photography, I can’t wait to get one and try it out.
