This looks like a really interesting film, and you can see it at three locations in the UK in May, with a Q&A by Andy Able of the Surfing Association of Papua New Guinea and Chris Hines of A Grain of Sand afterwards:
I’ve got my ticket booked for the Plymouth screening but there are venues in Bristol and London too, I look forward to hearing more about the film and the culture over there, it looks a lot like the part of Indonesia I went to on my trip, under the radar of most of the surfing world and amazingly beautiful aves and people.
I’ve been to a couple of these surf film/Q&A things and I always enjoy it and get something out of it, I encourage you to get along to one of them if you can, it’s a great experience and can definitely give you something valuable for your own surf photography or videography too.
Update – They have moved the screening I was going to attend from Plymouth to Porthtowan, so I can’t make it, if you were planning on going to the Plymouth showing you’ll need to make other arrangements or get a refund.
