Lensbaby Fisheye Review & Hasselblad XPan Video

I have a bunch of bigger posts on the go at the moment, which ones get finished first will depend on the swell and weather here in the UK, but there will be something more substantial to read about soon.

For now have a look at these two links which go into a bit more detail about things I’ve mentioned recently:

This is DigitalRevTV’s latest episode, and it features the Hasselblad X-Pan which popped up in Trent Mitchells Photo Lyfe feature on Stab Mag recently.

And here’s a review of the Lensbaby circular fisheye which looked like an interesting, relatively cheap, option for a mega wide fisheye:

The review is pretty positive, but it’s not going to be a great choice for surf photography, I’ll hopefully be adding some extra comparisons to my Tokina 10-17mm Vs post soon, so I’d wait for that before jumping into buying a fisheye if you’re in any doubt.

There hasn’t been much surf here recently, here’s one from earlier in the year, I experimented with a close crop of the wave on this one, just for something different, the Canon 70D has a higher resolution than my previous 60D body, helping make it easier to crop more and still keep a nicely details image.
